Praa Sands and District Short Mat Bowls Club

The club was formed in 1988 with the aim of promoting Short Mat Indoor Bowls in the local area. We are affiliated to Cornwall County Short Mat Bowl’s Association and play league games ibowling at Praa Sandsn the Western Division Section. This in turn is a member of the English Short Mat Bowl’s Association and all competitive games are played under their rules.

At present we have 21 members and meet at Praa Sands Community Centre on Friday and Tuesday nights during September to April. During the summer months, May to August, we meet on Friday nights only. Home league games are played on Sunday and Thursday afternoons; away games vary and depend on the away team’s playing day.

Beginners and experienced players who would like to join us are very welcome. No need to buy any equipment until you are sure you like the game. Come along with either slippers or flat soled light shoes and you can use the club’s spare bowls.
