Sands. Access to the village centre via the Germoe crossroads junction on the
A394 Penzance/Helston road. St Germoe Church nestles in the
heart of the tiny village. Half a mile west on the A394 lies the hamlet of NEWTOWN which has an angling shop, a petrol filling station, off license and stores and garage servicing and MOT facilities. Germoe Community Primary

BALWEST is a hamlet within the parish of Germoe and can be found between Germoe and Godolphin Cross, one mile north of Germoe. Balwest nestles under Tregonning Hill, the site of the signal house and iron age fort. There is a Methodist Chapel and a newly refurbished Sunday school room which is used for a variety of functions and can be hired for private use. Balwest features in the ‘Six Walks’ booklet.
