Much merriment
was enjoyed by members and friends at the Christmas meeting. Julie
Cox-Webber and Eve provided us with games and quizzes galore – the ‘town
game’ being very popular as usual, with the cauliflower ferociously fought
over. Following refreshments carols were sung accompanied by Jill Warden on the
piano. The competition for a snowman was won by Dorothy Richards, 2nd
Sheena Thomasson, 3rd
Margaret Nicholls. Raffle prizes
were won by Joan Watts, Phyllis Williams and Avy
Blakely.
At next
month’s meeting (9 January 2007) Gill Keeble will be showing us how to paint
with chocolate, and the competition is for 3 chocolate brownies cooked to a
given recipe.
