Visiting or Holidaying in Praa Sands & DistrictPraa Sands has long been a popular holiday destination. With over a mile of golden sands facing South and luxuriating in some of the longest hours of sunshine to be found in the UK this resort is an ideal holiday base for all age groups. The beach is popular with surfers, sunbathers and families and as with all of coastal Cornwall, has excellent access to the Coastal Footpath which provides wonderful walking, rugged scenery, abundant wildflowers, plentiful bird-watching and glimpses of wildlife-a-plenty. Of historical interest is Pengersick Castle, reputed to be one of the most haunted buildings in the land.
